As I Walked Out... the final preparations are underway for our epic journey across Gloucesterhire this summer. Starting from Horsley on 21st June 2010 our journey will take us through the six districts of Gloucestershire, Stroud, Cotswold, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. As part of the county’s Cultural Olympiad programme Fairgame Theatre is delivering an exciting arts-based project across every district of Gloucestershire.

The project will be a guided walk across each of the six districts. We will use the landscape and the physicality of walking to provide the catalyst for creative, community-based activities.

The whole journey will be led by an experienced project manager and in each district a visual artist and a creative writer will work with community groups delivering inspirational arts initiatives inspired by the walking, the landscape, the views and the outside environment.

FAGS & ME TOUR EXTENDED

Twenty-a-day Sarah is all fired up about beating the weed. She can’t remember how many lectures she’s had to sit through over the years; first from parents and teachers and, more recently, her own children, but, with the worst of the sermons now arising from her own mind, she’s finally decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Using music, hilarious observational comedy and Fairgame Theatre’s inimitable physical style, this largely autobiographical one-woman show charts Sarah’s journey from first fag, aged thirteen, to difficult adult addiction and her battle to give up.
